In the present era of technology, world has become a global village and no can remain unaffected by the changes and events occurring in this global village. In these circumstances every society should be ready to face the challenges of globalization in modern era; advanced societies are struggling to manipulate the resources.
In Pakistan majority of population is poor and living below the poverty. Many institutions like PPAF, FSSP, OPP-Oct etc, are working at National level for poverty alleviation, in addition to Government’s efforts for poverty eradication.  
Seven organizations from central Punjab decided to initiate networking activity to address this pressing need of the sector, by naming their initiative as Punjab Microfinance Network(PMFN).
